Is DeDRM completely dead in 2026?
For new purchases, yes. DeDRM only works on books bought before April 2025, and only if you have old Kindle hardware or Kindle for PC 2.4.0. The plugin maintainers have confirmed it cannot handle Amazon's current encryption. For older books you already downloaded, it may still work - but that window is closing.
