1. What TextMuncher Does

TextMuncher is a web-based text extraction tool that converts screenshots and eBook files (EPUB) into editable text. By default, Speed mode processes screenshot OCR locally on your device. Quality mode is an optional feature for Pro subscribers who switch it on: pages flagged as hard to read, along with their draft transcriptions, are sent to Google Cloud for a second pass. EPUB files are parsed locally in the browser. See our Privacy Policy for the complete data flow.

2. Your Responsibilities

What You Can Do

Extract text from content you have legal access to
Use extracted text for personal research, study, and accessibility
Use the free tier (30 pages) without an account

What You Can't Do

Resell or redistribute extracted text commercially
Violate copyright laws with extracted content
Create multiple accounts to abuse free tier limits
Use TextMuncher for bulk commercial text extraction

3. Subscriptions and Payments

Free: 30 pages of automated extraction. Pro: $9.99/month or $48/year for unlimited automated extraction. Manual OCR uploads are always free. Payments processed by Stripe.

4. Disclaimers and Liability

TextMuncher is provided "as is." You are responsible for your use of extracted text and compliance with copyright laws. Our liability is limited to fees paid in the last 12 months or $100, whichever is greater.

5. Account Termination

You can cancel your subscription anytime. We may terminate accounts that violate these terms.

6. General Terms
