What you can upload here

This page takes the files you already have. Screenshots in PNG, JPG, or WEBP go in one at a time or in bulk; a ZIP of screenshots is unpacked for you, which is the usual route when the images came off a phone or another machine. EPUB files skip OCR entirely - the text is already inside the file, so it is read out directly and comes back in seconds.

There is no page limit on this page and no account needed to use it. The free page allowance applies to automated capture in the browser extension, not to files you upload yourself.

Speed mode and Quality mode

Speed mode is the default for everyone and runs entirely inside your browser tab. Your images are never uploaded, which is why it works with no account and why it stays free however many pages you put through it.

Quality mode is a Pro option you switch on per extraction. It runs the same on-device pass first, then sends only the pages the engine flagged as hard to read - the page image and its draft transcription - to a cloud OCR service for a second reading. Pages that read cleanly the first time never leave your device even with Quality mode on.

When to use this page instead of the extension

Use the extension when the book is open in Kindle Cloud Reader and you want the pages captured for you. Use this page for everything else: a library book on a platform the extension does not drive, screenshots someone sent you, pages you captured by hand, or an EPUB you already own.
