Yes. If you can run current Chrome or Firefox, you can use the TextMuncher extension on Windows.

Is this safer than downloading a converter?

Usually yes. TextMuncher avoids unknown installer downloads and, in Speed mode, processes visible pages locally in your browser. Optional Pro Quality mode sends hard-to-read pages for a cloud second pass.

Can I use Kindle for PC?

TextMuncher is built for browser workflows, especially Kindle Cloud Reader. Kindle for PC is now the Legacy Kindle app, which isn't supported as of June 30, 2026. Open the book in Kindle Cloud Reader instead, though not every title is available there.
