Is Calibre DeDRM completely dead?
For practical purposes, yes. Amazon removed USB downloads (Feb 2025), broke old Kindle for PC compatibility (Apr 2025), added new encryption on newer devices (Sep 2025), and retired the old Kindle for PC app on June 30, 2026.
